The realization of R&I policy coherence and alignment is best achieved by following the R&I policy lab handbook. The alignment and coherency creation process (see the figure below) goes through steps like stakeholder identification and engagement, food system understanding, visioning, workshops with R&I funders, co-creative R&I policy pathway design, and experimentation with such pathways.
